The main idea
The main idea of MotoKarta is to help motorcycle travellers.
But the "main idea" is not a limitation.
The map helps residents of small towns find motorcyclist friends from neighbouring towns, and helps travellers plan their route and find people they can drop in on.
MotoKarta is free
Using the map and adding your own point to it is free.
We strictly separate objects on the map. Don't pass your hotel off as a Bike Post. If you promise free help and then it turns out there is a specific price, we will change your icon on the map.
MotoKarta is convenient
All links on the map are interactive. When you tap a phone number, your smartphone automatically opens the phone app and inserts the number. Links to external sites open in new browser tabs.
Good to know
Once you've planned your route, agree on the visit with the people you want to stay with right away.
Keep the time difference in mind: the map shows time zones for this reason.
If you're offering help, don't hesitate to ask for a photo of documents if it involves an overnight stay or leaving the bike overnight.
A polite refusal is received more kindly.
Don't cry if you're turned down.
Food has to be bought.
If you want to stay overnight, don't forget to give at least some money.
If you need repairs — either pay or do it yourself.
We understand that everyone wants things for free. You may be helped for free too — but, as a rule, after you've paid the first time ;)
And remember: there are more good people than it seems, but fewer than we'd like.
